This Referral Program Agreement governs participation in the Hostivus Referral Program. By enrolling in or participating in the program, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Program overview
The Hostivus Referral Program allows approved participants to earn recurring commissions by referring new customers to Hostivus. Commissions are paid only on eligible referrals that meet the criteria defined in this agreement.
Eligibility
To participate, you must
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and complete account and payment information
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Hostivus reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate any referral account at its sole discretion.
Eligible referrals
An eligible referral must
- Be a new customer who has never previously purchased Hostivus services
- Sign up using your unique referral link or be clearly attributed to you by Hostivus
- Remain an active paying customer beyond the refund or trial period
Existing Hostivus customers are not eligible for referral commissions.
Commission structure
Referral commissions are recurring and are calculated as a percentage of the referred customer’s monthly subscription fee, excluding taxes, refunds, chargebacks, or discounts.
Commission rates, tiers, and any promotional incentives are described on the Referral Program page and may be updated by Hostivus at any time.
Commission payments
- Commissions are paid monthly
- Payments are issued only for active customers in good standing
- Commissions are not paid for accounts that are refunded, canceled, disputed, or fraudulent
- Hostivus may impose a minimum payout threshold
Payment methods and schedules are subject to change with notice.
Referral responsibilities
You agree to
- Represent Hostivus accurately and ethically
- Avoid false, misleading, or deceptive claims
- Comply with all advertising, privacy, and consumer protection laws
- Not engage in spam, unsolicited outreach, or prohibited marketing practices
You may not bid on Hostivus branded keywords, impersonate Hostivus, or present yourself as an employee or official representative.
Prohibited activities
The following actions are strictly prohibited
- Self referrals
- Referring fake, duplicate, or fraudulent accounts
- Misuse of Hostivus branding or trademarks
- Incentivizing signups with unauthorized rewards
- Circumventing tracking systems
Violations may result in immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
Tracking and attribution
Hostivus uses tracking systems to attribute referrals. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accurate tracking, we are not responsible for referrals that are not properly recorded due to technical limitations, user settings, or external factors.
All referral determinations made by Hostivus are final.
Termination
Either party may terminate participation in the Referral Program at any time.
Hostivus reserves the right to
- Suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice for violations
- Withhold or revoke commissions earned through prohibited activities
- Modify or discontinue the program at any time
Upon termination, unpaid commissions may be forfeited at Hostivus’s discretion.
Relationship of parties
Participation in the Referral Program does not create an employment, partnership, agency, or joint venture relationship between you and Hostivus.
You have no authority to bind Hostivus or act on its behalf.
Limitation of liability
Hostivus will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Referral Program.
Our total liability will not exceed the commissions paid or payable to you in the preceding twelve months.
Modifications
Hostivus may update or modify this agreement at any time. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction where Hostivus operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
